Who died and made you king? He hasn't painted it yet, therefore every color is still an option. Personally, I thought he had already picked a color and was surprised by this thread.

BTW, Orange will look bad ***!

Andrew, if you will recall a few months back we went through ALL SORTS of colors with Dean on this! Just figured since he gave you FOUR choices that it would be best to just make suggestions on THOSE!

The way I read it, he actually gave FIVE choices, he just couldn't get the 5th one into the poll.

Go Dean!

Yea, he added the 5th later and could not get it on the poll. 4/5 whatever...not unlimited and not seemingly open to other colors because he has been through that already, but what do I know. Maybe Dean was kidding with the poll hoping everyone here would add another suggestion.

Hey, Dean what about Purple...like on the Prowlers... NICE COLOR! Oh, wait, how about Pearlglanz like the last GTS... Oh, no wait wait... Lets see you do it in green with purple poka-dots. JEEZUS...

I never liked really bright colors until I went to a racetrack... The bright yellow, orange, and green cars look so much cooler going FAST....

I say the green or orange

Jese.... If I'd knowm your son needed his prized '85 Euro fixed up to satisfy a lifelong dream, we could have called Chip and the boyz and had it picked up from your other 'son' Bob's place.

In spite of what comes across on TV, more than a few good restoration candidates have been trashed in the making of that show. Originality is not a prized attribute.

That was a decal, not a stripe. It had no horizontal or straight lines - it merely consisted of stylized letters "CS" flowing with the sculpted surfaces on the fender. It could be removed easily.

PS: I like the yellow, orange and green pearl metallic Lamborghini colors. A yellow metallic Gallardo would sure look good in my garage... and on me, I think.

I agree with a lot of what has alredy been said. (Especially about the stripes - not usually my favorite on Porsches, but I have seen a few that I really liked).

That said, didn't you have a Photoshopped picture of some of your colors that included the stripe? Or am I thinking of a different thread??

I am not a big fan of yellow (just saw a yellow Mustang today that made me throw up in my mouth a little) but I really think the goldish/yellow that you picked is fantastic!! It REALLY stands out for me, but isn't too brash as a color. IMHO

Can't wait for the end result pics!

The yellow shown in the picture above looks metallic or even pearlescent. Maybe we should clarify, if we are talking about Porsche speed yellow (non-metallic), or the type of yellow shown on that picture.

I like the yellow metallic/pearl shown in the picture.

Haven't watched that show lately. They seem to do the same old **** every time.
1. Get car.
2. Disassemble car.
3. Throw away complete drive train.
4. Replace drive train with XXXXXXXXXX from Summit.
5. Top it with a 750CFM, 4 barrel, quadra-whatever, runs like **** in all but perfect weather carburetor.

Even NASCAR is making the move to fuel injection.

It's a good thing they didn't call back. Of all people, you are probably the least likely to survive the shock and horror of a Chevy conversion performed on a 928 in your family.

I like that color too. What I plan to do for myself is find out the color formula for Guards Red and if it has any blue in it, I will substitute yellow for the blue and then I will have what I think is just the right color of bright red. Then, maybe guards red doesn't have any blue in it. In which case I will keep looking. Jerry

Default Henna Red

It looks to me like it has a bit of orange to it. Something like the Henna Red BMW M3 color. It is a color that is very desirable and rare for this car. In Germany it is called Hennrot
