Update
Guys,
I ran the Black Widow at the Edmonton Indy this past weekend.
We installed a used stock motor from Mark Anderson which we re-rod bearinged and added the I-J windage set up ,a Mike Simard 3/8 pan spacer and an OB style oil pan with the clover leaf pick up and of course Amsoil.
We saw peeks of 1.4 G's and sustained 1+G in all corners. Oil pressure never dropped below 70 PSI except in the tight hairpin leading onto the front straight where it momentarily dropped to 50PSI but recovered as soon as the car was pointed in a straight line.
I pulled and opened the oil filter and there were no signs of bearing failure so I plan to continue to run as is until the bottom falls out!
We had a total of one hour practice, two hours of wheel to wheel racing and we finished 14th overall and 2nd in GTP3 Class.
Thanks
Sean
