I've read that the reason our car insurance is so high is because they figure half the drivers here are impared, and the other half are geezers. All them old farts in Summerlin, are really dangerous.
The one thing about Vegas is that you can't have bad habits and have anything if you live here. This town is designed to do one thing, take your money.

The other day as I was leaving a light a Panamera S was really on my a$$ so I punched it. I would say he was dropping 1 car length per second until he let up at ~70mph. Further up the hill at another light I could see him in the rear-view mirror, he was pissed

Well, I'll admit it, My original post didn't happen. The Vette smoked me and I went home and cried.
It was all a dream, I used to read Word Up magazine...

a C4 with an auto trans dynos at + - 210 RWH with a 350 in it and is rated at 300 hp . My wife had a 93. But it is still just a little faster than a 83 . IMO

... As far as 'coming home from the bar' goes, Not everybody drinks in a bar, including me at times. Last night was one of those times. You can pretty safely say that if you are at a crack house, you are doing crack. Bars often offer food, friends, and fun as well as alcohol. It really amazes me the conclusions people jump to on here. If there is way to twist something to put their spin on it, they will. ...
The good ones or the bad ones?

Not just here on RL - that describes America today, and Americans in the media in particular. Being clever has become a popular substitute for being wise for some reason.
Whenever I hear "We have with us today Dr. Nimrod T. Douchebag who disagrees with (fill in the blank)..." I just chuckle and change the channel. How frigging hard is it nowadays to find someone willing to disagree with any opinion or fact out there?

Couldn't agree more - but accidents happen and then the plaintiffs start digging ... or, if you're the plaintiff, the defense starts looking for a way to tar you.

Same engine as the blue one (yes these are all 100% stock)
The "little brother" to all of these is the base LT1, which will hang quite easily with a 32V 928.

I'm sure he would have pulled away had he stayed in it...my point was that my pulling a good fender on him, he was scared. Anyway, as far as I know 0-60 on an '83 Euro is 6.1 seconds and for a '94 auto convertible it's 5.5. We went from about 10 mph, so I would say it was a good run, but then again, I don't do it all the time, so any run is a good run to me. Just sayin...

If you have a local track, it is fun to watch stock (only) Corvettes run the 1/4 and dispel the myths surrounding them. I'm sorry I have had much seat time in the C4, C5, and a little in the C6.The C6 is a powerhouse, the others are just OK. The typical stock C4 runs 15's (high) at the local track and the C5's run in the 14's. Stock C5 zo6's run in the high 12's low 13's. Just go sometime and see. Sometimes you see one with drag radials dropping a 1/2 second, but I'm talking bone stock. I have yet to see a C6 at the track so I don't know how hyped they really are. But they all drive well, till you drive a 928 then they feel like crap to me.

[QUOTE=Hacker-Pschorr;7608159]Um, no...an S4/GT/GTS would have a fun time trying to hang with these:
The OP said that the Corvette he raced was a convertible which immediately discounts the GS and ZR-1 as possible competitors. The OP also stated that the Corvette looked like a 04or 05 which means that it was probably a base C4 that looked nice. They run about 14.5 through the quarter and some are convertibles so the OP's story would make the most sense if it was this car.
