Funny about the Summerlin folks. I stay away from there as much as I can> To true about the bad habits. Vegas has actually helped to cure my bad habits and made me get a bit more focused. Amazing when I think about how I almost passed the opportunity up, as I was just coming out of a DUI punishment and had other things going on that I didn't think Vegas was the place to straighten them out. Very glad I reconsidered and came out here. Really helped me get my **** straight, but unfortunately I think a lot of people in the same situation I was in would have wound up in a more precarious position with all the options here.

a C4 with an auto trans dynos at + - 210 RWH with a 350 in it and is rated at 300 hp . My wife had a 93. But it is still just a little faster than a 83 . IMO

It's not us you have to convince, tell it to the jury. That was good advice above.

The good ones or the bad ones?

You'll never have to tell it to the jury if you don't put yourself in a position to wind up in court.

Don't repeat the bad ones, for sure!

Couldn't agree more - but accidents happen and then the plaintiffs start digging ... or, if you're the plaintiff, the defense starts looking for a way to tar you.

If it was either one of these types of Corvettes I think he was just playing with you. Anything before that an 83 928 can stick with.

Um, no...an S4/GT/GTS would have a fun time trying to hang with these:

Same engine as the blue one (yes these are all 100% stock)

The "little brother" to all of these is the base LT1, which will hang quite easily with a 32V 928.

I'm sure he would have pulled away had he stayed in it...my point was that my pulling a good fender on him, he was scared. Anyway, as far as I know 0-60 on an '83 Euro is 6.1 seconds and for a '94 auto convertible it's 5.5. We went from about 10 mph, so I would say it was a good run, but then again, I don't do it all the time, so any run is a good run to me. Just sayin...

The poor L98 gets no respect, some L98's demand it.

If you have a local track, it is fun to watch stock (only) Corvettes run the 1/4 and dispel the myths surrounding them. I'm sorry I have had much seat time in the C4, C5, and a little in the C6.The C6 is a powerhouse, the others are just OK. The typical stock C4 runs 15's (high) at the local track and the C5's run in the 14's. Stock C5 zo6's run in the high 12's low 13's. Just go sometime and see. Sometimes you see one with drag radials dropping a 1/2 second, but I'm talking bone stock. I have yet to see a C6 at the track so I don't know how hyped they really are. But they all drive well, till you drive a 928 then they feel like crap to me.

[QUOTE=Hacker-Pschorr;7608159]Um, no...an S4/GT/GTS would have a fun time trying to hang with these:

The OP said that the Corvette he raced was a convertible which immediately discounts the GS and ZR-1 as possible competitors. The OP also stated that the Corvette looked like a 04or 05 which means that it was probably a base C4 that looked nice. They run about 14.5 through the quarter and some are convertibles so the OP's story would make the most sense if it was this car.
