Default Carbon Fibre body wrap

Full or partial covering of body parts in place of painting.

Any one on RL used this? Apparently it was the rave at the last SEMA.

Here's a picture of an entire TT covered in it as well as a Honda 2000

I like it. I also like the matte black vinyl wrap look.

Wrap is all the rage these days. One of the guys on the MB forum wrapped his CLK63 Black Series in Matte Black.....

Not my thing but it did look nice. Another guy wrapped his in Satin White:

Chuck,
I like that matte black...wonder how long it looked good for?! If I thought I could take it off when I got tired of it, that would be my option of choice vs. EVER painting a car! I know it is not cheap to do it right, but get a black car a/ all black door jambs and stuff and the wrap the thing ANY COLOR YOU WANT! Change as you like...no worries! Pretty cool!

I have thought about doing a matt black 928 for some time. I think it would look awesome! (with aero mirrors and big fat tires.)

At the Cars & Coffee show this weekend. Not sure what DTM-fanboi look they were shooting for, but the matte finish is cool;

There is a RL member, ThatGuy.. or something he hangs around the 996 GT2/GT3 forum.

He has a 996 GT3 with a carbon wrap.

Most local sign companies sell or can get their hands on the material. Make sure you talk to the owner since their prices are usually set for commercial applications.

Another shop that is known for installing the clear bra's and tinted windows has yet to do a full car wrap. The owner of the company said he's willing to cut me a $$$ break to use my 928 as a demo car. That was last fall, haven't had the time to make it happen, maybe after SITM.

Meguiars (the car polish company) is about to release their own line of car wrap material.

Between $3,000 and $5,000 depending on location, size of vehicle and difficulty. The design work can also add to the price if you do a graphic.

Well, thats out. A temporary piece of plastic for 3000 dollars? You could get some paint on there for 3000.
