I visited your website and could find nothing that would inspire me to use your product. No objective rating or your products compared to your competition, no customer testimonials or references. As there are dozens, if not more, providers of "clear bra" type products I need to know how to differentiate the fair performers from the excellent performers. Without good information Xpel automatically gets a "fair" performer rating from me.

Not trying to be a Ricardo Cabeza just trying to help you understand that your website is not a positive differentiator. As a company that promotes itself as an internet based business you need to improve your internet experience.

I am in the market to cover the entire front clip of both of my 928's.

Hey Richard - what do you have wrapped on your car? The front clip or the entire car? What is the warranty?

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Xpel, tried to do a search for a 78/79 928. Nothing. Do you carry this product for the early 928's?

My Factory Five Roadster was used by a local InvisiGuard supplier / installer to make a template for a clear bra:

I've also talked to this company about doing a complete car wrap, just need to bring the car down for a measurement / estimate.

You won't find any self indulgent "industy leader" or "best in the world" statements from us, simply because I do not believe they do anything to help the consumer figure out where our products rate in the grand scheme of things. Anyone can put that on their site, but when they all say the same thing, how does that help?

However, there are some documents and videos on the site that describe our philosophy as it pertains to the industry, how we have designed our products and what others say about them. Here are a couple links to get you started:

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

We have designs for the 928 starting in model year 1987. For models prior, they would have to either be done custom, or we would have to have the car at our design center to design a pattern. If anyone needs this done in San Antonio, we would be happy to pattern the vehicle there.

Ha ha ha, Dan, It's Zaino Brothers Car Polish. Polymer coating, supposed to last 9 months.

If you are going to clear bar, go about half way up to hood and fenders! Having just finished getting up close and personal with my paint doing the spring clean and shine, I can tell you thats where you get a lot of bug and stone dings too. I checked and locally the clear bra is about $400 for a good install. Got my Boxster front clip repaired and repainted for $400.

If this statement is directed at me because of my comments you are stating things I neither suggested you do or look for in a web marketed business. I asked for independent comparison of your product versus the competition. What is your selling point? Is it to be the low cost provider of protectant film, the provider of the highest quality, or the best value. I saw none of that on your website. I was trying to give you and your company some constructive criticism to improve a new prospective customer's experience on your website.

If you have no claims, testimonials or references that differentiate your products then I suppose your website is just fine.

Doh! Thanks for the clarification Richard. I have seen several cars with half way clear bra. It is always noticeable to me. I am wondering if you cover the whole front clip of the car if that makes a less obvious difference.

Does anyone know if your paint fades at different rate when half of your hood is covered with a clear bra type film?

Several here in OKC have the clear bra on their P cars. Honestly, I am sensitive to the line and didn't notice they had the clear bra until they pointed it out. Then the line was still difficult to spot.

A friend that went to Porsche Parage in NC said their was a guy that had his whole car clear bra covered. Got into a scrape and just redid the clear bra. No damage to the paint at all.

Jager Engineering (Garage 9) in Canada was making them for quite a while... but I don't think they do anymore. They may have some leftover that are not advertised on their site. They were very simple & plain -cut from clear plastic stock.

Not sure if any other lens manufacturer (like Nicole/Hooked on Cars) makes them or not.

Once I get mine I was thinking about doing the bumper, full hood, and front wings, bottom sills, mirrors and right behind the rear wheel. This should take care of 99% of stone chip issues. Now Murphy's law does state that where ever you don't cover that is where the rock will hit... you can't win them all!

One of the local graphic places always keeps a large supply of Camouflage wrap in stock. It's a big hit with the local hunters for their trucks, shanties, trailers etc....
I was tempted to do a full cammo wrap for SITM.
