Found another 78... red... not my color choice, but I still asked for the Vin#. Here is the link:

I will post the Vin# once I get it.

WOW! $4500 asking, that might be a pretty damn decent car... antenna is up so I doubt that is working, but white w/ no rub strips is nice. Not sure why they would take the D90 wheels off to put something else on (as noted in the sale) but it might be a great DD 928!

Most 78 and 79 cars I see do not have a sunroof.
How common was this option at that time?

Fairly uncommon and early '78 might not have had it available at all.

Here is the update on the white one:

"The interior is leather, including the headliner. The interior was redone a while back, I have the receipts for the work, the carpet is in good shape as well. The dash is cracked, there is a dash cap on it now but I am afraid it was poorly fitted, the only poor service done to the car. I am sure it is a US import model but will send you the VIN info as soon as I can retrieve it, It looks like the car spent most of it's life in Lafayette CA. The stereo is not original, it is an Alpine (old) unit with a 6 disc changer, Zuess amp and a subwoofer on the back deck. The car was not cut up for this and the original speakers were replaced but are underneath the original covering. The windows and sunroof all work, back glass is tinted, antenna works as well.

The AC is all there but I never got around to having it inspected, the washer system is not funcitonal but I do have a reservoir unit for it I purchased on Ebay, jus nver got around to installing in the car."

No Vin# yet, will let you know when I get it...

Here's another one.

This one is undoubtedly a project, but buying from the original owner should be worth something.
