My first thought was "wow, that's a hell of a lot of work the PO went through for illuminated sill plates... there must be an easier way". But since the hole is there, I have a "package" I need transported across the border, can I borrow your car?
The first time I looked at the pic, I didn't have my glasses on. I really truly thought, "Oh great, another Charlie car, and he left a stash in there on accident!"
I put my glasses on after that, and saw that it was nothing more than a dilithium reservoir for the flux capacitor.
It looks like I can see the garage floor too, does it also light up the bottom of the car ?
not so bad as it would be easy to repair and in such a hidden area.
I've seen a couple of 928's that have been hit on the side, and that cut hole is pretty much exactly where the main point of frame deflection inwards was. (I've also watched a local guy repairing that spot using hydraulics to push the frame back out).
I'd hate to see how far a side impact would push the frame with that material missing.
No, this is truly as bad as it gets. It's unicorns and rainbows from here on out.
Well, unicorns and rainbows and they mystery of the missing fan power lead from the battery to the CE panel. (Where did that wire go? It's chopped at the battery and chopped at the panel.)
But hey, thanks to lots of hard work the wiring is now sound, and the AC is blowing lots of 31ºF air. So the PO can kiss my ***.
