There's no clamp. Just make sure to clean the cowl well, especially on the alternator side. Any smudge/sand/oily crap there will stop the hose from sliding all the way over the cowl.

My new hose was a VERY tight fit on the alternator cowl, so much so I had to lube the shroud to get the hose. Didnt need a clamp. If its a loose fit, as suggested above, get the shroud clean and dry, and clamp it , but not too tight. Also suggest you modify the attachment in the fender well, as per my pic ....

The aftermarket Gates hose we sell fits like a glove and does not need a clamp.

Does it have the "Do It Yourself" manual transmission, or the superior "Fully Equipped by Porsche" Automatic Transmission?

If you've not removed the alternator cover recently, you might want to snake a shopvac hose in there to ensure no rocks or stash of acorns. I had an acorn shell take one out.

No, see my pic in a post linked to above. It should go through a hole in the towing eye bracket thing, then into the fender space, and normally is screwed via a double humped bracket to the spalsh shield. There is a short metal tube with a temp sensor in it (for the climate control) clipped into it before the U bend. The U bend is stop debris falling into the tube.

Here's a pic of the replacement hose that I've got left over. This is what Rog is selling.
