This looks like the ultimate DE car. I spoke to Jim, the owner for a while before the auction ended and it sounds like a really nice car - nicely set up and well maintained.

Anyone here know this car? Anyone here get it?

I spoke with the owner before he listed it on Ebay.

This was an ex-Rennlister's car (now banned). The AC doesn't work and the clutch was changed by the owner's high-school shop class; now I won't knock the high school shop-some of the best mechanics learned the beginnings of their craft there.

It seems like a good car nonetheless.

Wasn't me. He came down off Craigslist to $9000 for me. He needs the cash. Nice guy but no TB or WP since ownership. Bought it off someone in Austin who bought it from the banned Rennlister. I don't know the Rennlister or why he was banned.

Once I heard the fact that the AC is shot and saw the extent of the crack in the dash, plus the fact that none of the upgrades were done by the current owner, the more I realized-not for me.

Cars basically been cared for but not much else.

(I do have 4 cars I'm hot on right now-just waiting for my loan approval on Monday and will pull the trigger next week-hopefully!)

This pic shows the giant ricer muffler. This makes me think it may have been Mark Robinsons car since he was banned and from TX.

Ah the prior owner was Jim Mitchell and prior to that I do believe it was Mark Robinson.

Jim listed the sport seats as factory options, but when I spoke to him, he mentioned that they'd come from another Porsche model. If they aren't factory, they look like a nice fit.
Barring any unknown/undisclosed issues, $8,500 seems like a pretty good price for a car like this if you're looking for the suspension improvements and you like Fikses.

Jp, Still looking for that track beast I see. Well I was going to call you because I got an 88' 5 speed lsd car in last week. It is Silber-metallic over can-can red/black piping interior. Needed a fender and bumper cover which is just about done. Rare offset cup2's with great S03 tires. This car can be had for around what that one sold for.
