Thanks Tass! Great design and execution.
I am interested in the group buy just so I could have one of these beauties in reserve for a future project, however, can we delay the group buy until you fit your dash into one of your cars? As I have often learned the hard way with FB products, they look great coming out of the mold but then don't fit so well when you try to install them. The after market rear wings are a great example. An original wing was used by the fabricators to make the mold but dang if anyone ever got one to fit up without lots of fidgeting and compromise.
I'd like to hear the FB dash and pod together fit with no/little issues.

I'm going to have one more dash made for my own use and then I'm moving on to other projects. I'm going to leave my mold with Walter ( the glass guy) for a while and he has agreed to do a run of dashes for $400.00 each (shipping will need to be covered by the buyers). This will be a onetime group-buy at this price. It might be a long time before a large enough group steps up again. Five dashes have been spoken for so far.
If anybody would like to get in on this, please send me a PM or an email and I'll pass it along to Walter.
thanks

Hi Dan,
Thank you for your input, your concerns are valid and appreciated. Right up front, let’s assume that there will be some "fidgeting and compromise".
This part is really made for guy who is not afraid to do some cutting and fitting. Dimensionally, it is the same as the stock dash but it is filled in to cover all of the things that track car guys have removed. For use in a track car, some mounts will need to be made to bolt it in place. I will be trimming mine to clear my roll cage tubes. I have explained to some who have PM'd me, if someone gets the dash and it is not what they expected, just send it back, I'll refund the purchase price and keep the part for my own future projects.
Mine won't be installed for while as I have vowed to stop "building" my track car and start driving it. My dash installation will include a lot of new switch and gauge mounting that I have not fully designed yet.
We have enough confirmed orders to make a run worthwhile so I'll leave this open for a couple more days in case anyone else wants to jump in while this project is still on the front burner.
The pod is going to wait a little longer....I need some front fender flares first.

This looks great and solves so many problems at once.
Think about it:
- No more shrinking leather
- No more dash cracks
- No more alignment issues between dash and console
- No more broken dash temp sensor
- No more console sides coming loose and warping
- Glove box hinges can't break
- Don't need a conversion for Keith-Widow-Style (or Jerry Feather Style) flush console
- ...
But I do wonder, if one of those will make it into Dave's 928 powered boat.

That is SWEET! Anyone doing a sort of street/race hybrid car would do VERY WELL to put this on the must have list! Might well work in cases of interior restoration too! I like!
