I'm sure you know this but for others reading along, I've found loose throttle cables can cause late or no WOT activation, so take out all the slack first making sure that the idle switch still works (too tight will hold it open -> no click). You have to adjust the first section of cable (from the pedal) at the firewall as well even if the second section of cable (going to the throttle) is snug to take out slack at the pedal.

To bend the WOT contacts you must have cut open the TPS, right? It's sealed but can be cut open with a Dremel cutting wheel and resealed with glue.

Although the WSM says WOT should trip about 3/4ths throttle, I can't say I've ever found that even with a new unit and snug cables. As long as it trips when you put the pedal to the metal, it's working.
