Default fender liner and alternator hose

Searched a bunch of threads and could not find a direct answer. I am doing my power steering lines and want to replace my alternator hose. Is the best route to get in there the fender liner, or the under spoiler?

Take the splash shield (in front of the wheel) out to get at the hose.
We have the hose for $23.75 8>)

Thanks for the reply.

It looks like there is the large upper one, then one at the bottom that runs behind it. Should both come off?

Yep, both fender liners, then undo the couple of screws on the lower splash shield that are recessed into square indentations - those are holding the alternator hose against the splash shield.

The screws are a bit fiddly to get back in, but not too challenging.

What a PITA to get the alternator out with the lower radiator hose on. The damn bolt kept pinning between that and rubbing against the fan shroud. But it is now on the ground and the deep cleaning begins. Looks like some oil weepage around where the oil cooler lines connect down there. May be a WYAIT type deal.

When you come to re-install the alternator hose, check out the way I did it at this post.

A lot less stress for both you and the splash shield this way IMHO.

well,

Everything is apart. I hate when everything is apart and you see other stuff to be done. Saw oil near the slave sylinder and noticed a couple of the bolts holding the rear oil pan up are visibly loose. Any tips for re-torquing? The oil pan gasket was replaced a couple of years ago.
