That is honestly a thing of beauty. Can't wait to see/hear the finished product.

Default Ho ho ho!

I got a new Porsche, GT3 RS, from Santa:

To add authenticity, we installed one of the axles wrong...

Wife got a model airplane:

John got fluids:

Something's still missing there from the car before it can go on the hub dyno:

The 928 will be fired up about the same time as the GT3 RS will be complete.

Everything is pretty much hooked on the top, more work under the car to be done. Install/fabricate wastegate line, oil scavenger line, turbo water feed lines, and a bunch of tiny wiring and then back wrap alternator belt.

Don't drive the GT3RS before the 928, or you'll never set foot in the 928 again.

LOL. There is that. But, more weight in the back and some stiffer springs will be useful once the front settles.

That's surprising. Not sayin' it ain't true. Just about half of what I would have guessed though. Turbos, tubing, heat exchangers, fluids of various viscosities, pumps, fasteners. It all adds up.

Then again, I'm about 40 lbs lighter myself compared to the previous iteration...
Your posterior is closer to the center (pick your favorite: pitch, roll, inertial yaw, etc.) of the car than all of the above bits.

The order of gears in the paddle shifter is wrong, that's one.

Yup. That's the only confirmed error.

That kit is pretty cool from many contexts.

I have discovered that playing with Legos is harder than it was 40 years ago.
