It didn't leak today after my drive to the gas station, but it will return. I notice it when I let it idle.

Well, I drove around today for a little bit and I had no problems, so I decided to pick my mother-in-law up from the airport after her 2 week trip to Germany that she takes every two years to see family. I got to the airport drove to her house and unloaded all her bags and was leaving to come home and nothing!
I went to pull out the battery charger/jumper and started cursing while pulling the spare out and low and behold it was only the positive terminal had gotten vibrated of the post...whew. I thought the problems were back. Of course I apologized to my baby and headed home.

YEA! That happened to me at the race track once! My idiot mechanic at the time had disconnected the battery for something and just didn't get the positive post tightened up...

you would do well to remove the battery and charge it properly then install it after you clean out your battery box, also clean every wire connection to your battery this will make it work without continuing problems plus you will know that all the wires are tight, and that battery hold down is in fact installed and wont let the battery slide in the box and damage anything else

the one that holds the battery from sliding front to back is is shaped like a banana and about the same size if your battery isnt full size now is the time to buy the correct battery and buy a used hold down

They are a curved piece of metal that is flat and about 2.5" wide...and ribbed (for her pleasure...LOL! Sorry, just couldn't help myself) and it bolts to the narrow side of the battery box towards the back of the car in a downward fashion so that the bottom of the metal piece is against the bottom lip of the battery...

I have seen it used to shim the block of wood being used to hold the battery in place.
