Doesn't look like it.
The drive was great. I went to move the car after I got it home after being parked for 20 minutes or so and there was a pretty big puddle of oil coming from part# 9281164116R and it wouldn't start.
I then checked the oil and I was bone dry?

Any suggestions?

It's coming from here, looks like this:

I'll guess rear main seal losing oil into the clutch area? The hole looks like the inspection point for the clutch.

Could also be somehow the clutch slave cylinder as this is right there? I know this wouldn't explain the empty oil from motor but it could be a multi disaster.

With oil coming out of the inspection cover, you are not going to be ignorant much longer, you are in for a education.

Sorry about that.

Starter wouldn't "turn over, or engine wouldn't fire up?

Bone dry of oil does not sound good.

I wonder about his answer to your question and how much oil it takes to fill it back up.

True, obvious rear main seal blown out, but if the "won't start" means "starter won't tuirn over" all of the oil could have just fouled the starter (or of course worse).

Well that is a ray of hope.

Find out how much oil it takes to get it full again.

I'm going to get oil now. Mobil 1 15W-50.

Thanks.

If it's the rear main seal, what will that set me back?

The seal is chump change, the labor/time to install or the cause/results of it blowing out are the bigger worries at this time.

About 8 hours of work,
$30 for special tools, (M12 triple square iirc)
and about $40 for the new rear main.

If it did blow out make sure that the crankcase breather is not plugged!

and if your clutch discs got soaked in oil, they will need to be replaced.

Depending on the answer to the next question..., or if it was only the starter that fouled and not the bearings seizing and then cooled off :-(

Yes, inquiring minds want to know...... and did you notice any oil pressure drops or warning lights before you stopped driving it (and saw the oil and it wouldn't turn over).

No warning lights whatsoever. I'll put oil in shortly and post the results.

Thanks guys.
