I did this yesterday, and including installing Carl's solid aluminum bushings, it took 30 minutes, rack in car. I'll​​​ bolt the rack up today.

Oh, when I ordered the bushings, they showed up the next day - excellent service.

I use an air chisel with slightly curved blade to push the swages into the center,
then a bit more hammering into the center of the bushing and they pop right out, go easy so you dont twist the rack.
it takes about 2 minutes per bushing to remove them
Some Emory cloth will clean out the corrosion on the bushing bores

Is anyone fitting the standard Porsche bushes?

I assume they are just a press fit
