Well, it didn't have a running motor...who knows the actual condition either. You know how race cars are Mark...spend a zillion dollars on them and then give them away! YUCK!
And it was a reserve price auction. Many people just don't bother until the reserve is met. He should try again with bidding starting at his lowest acceptable price.
I think the molds for that bodywork are here in Texas...... I will ping the party to see if they are the same?
Ironically I just sold the last rear set that IIRC correctly, were one of 2 or 3 sets made for, or at the same time as the Devore car. Mark A. had them laying around and I snagged them from him years ago, I assume they were the mates to the fronts on Mark's old race car (now James'). Mark can probably remember better than me.
The ones I had were Kevlar and weighted nothing, you could pick up one with a finger. Oddly enough they are going on another 79 currently in the body shop.
BTW, Bob's race car ugly? Sure, just like a Military Hummer is ugly, but that's part of the attraction and would still like to have one.

Dave, I wish I knew you had those...I probably would have bought them from you to have as spares! Oh well... When I talked to Mark A at OCIC last summer he was telling me all about them. He said because they are Kevlar they are almost indestructible...he said he got in to the side of a 944T in a race once...crunched the 944, scratched the paint on the fender was all! COOL!

James,
I mentioned them a few times here over the years (pics in first post below) , thought you had seen them. I would have sworn I offered them to you at one point and you said you liked what you had....but I could have just dreamed that :-) Now don't be too flattered, I only dream about you occasionally
Maybe I didn't see it or didn't realize those were the same as my fronts... Oh well...I'll just have to be careful and not have any accidents in the race car!
Just beware someone here posted they went to look at it and the review wasn't favorable. Also It didn't have the famous engine in it if I recall correctly.
