Ed,

What is up with the front wheels on your GT...looks like front and rears are the same, but they seem to fit just fine....

Stephen, we must be close to the same age...HS from '79 to '83...928's were new and VERY expensive still!

That's cool, these guys living so near the track. What, 20 minutes? Good to know we've got 928 guys dug-in down there.

I could definitely get a shark or two down to the coral in April. Its actually about 2 hours away from here but its a nice drive.

Kevin, that's a good idea on a Richmond meet. Will follow-up. Several possible venues here if we get creative.

James Class of 79! Same yr as my 928. URI 79 to 83 so we are for sure in the same era LOL. My brain has a problem with Class of 2010, sounds like something out of a sci-fi movie.

Christian I hope H.S. is treating you well. Sounds like things are cool!

I looked at a GT in nearby Burbank a few years ago that had the wider CS rims on all four corners, with 225/50 in in front and 245/50 in rear. They fit OK but it looked funny to me, used to seeing the staggered sizes and all. I budgeted for getting the correct rims in my writeup for the buyer.

Bob,

I agree, they look better staggered with those particular wheels, but I do prefer same size front and rear for track work! Some wheels look ok with the same size front and back...

I had a second hand bicycle in secondary school

Dad wanted me to drive a Ford Cortina but I couldn't wait for him to play instructor so my first real vehicle was a GT............250cc Suzuki m/cycle..........ran that thing 'till it died.

Let us know how the newspaper article worked out.

Few realize their crappy Honda Civic cost more than this gorgeous BEAST!
It amazes me how many people at school believe my car is a current production Porsche. When I tell them it's an '82, they don't believe me. It makes guys pretty envious and the girls go crazy Luckly there are a few other nice cars in the lot and I tend to park next to them.

I will be back at VIR Labor Day Weekend with PCA for the DE and you guys should come down again for a GTG...Richmond is not that far....we will talk to Jim in Richmond too...planning will begin at SITM in June..

What do ya think..??
Yea, that would be pretty cool. I'm out there every weekend with my job, so I'm usually in the padox for a few every day. I was out at the track today and spotted a beautiful black '91 GT at the Skid Pad event.

Living 20 minutes away from the track is awsome. I usually spend most of my weekends either out at the track or working on the 928. It would be cool if you could make it to the 250 in April, it's usually a pretty cool event and seeing some more sharks would be a nice addition.
