Default bonding agent to attach hood crest to plenum

I have completed the painting of my spider. I got a new hood crest to put on the plenum.

wondering what is a good bonding to use? when I pried off the original emblem, the bonding was still flexible. in my experience most epoxy becomes hard.

suggestions? don't want it to fall off when done.

I just used trim adhesive and it's not fallen off yet - 2 years.

Rod,
to be clear, I am bonding a hood emblem to the top of my intake plenum. so it will experience a lot of vibration and heat.

just to confirm your reply meant you used trim adhesive on the intake. thanks.

PS. I would add pics but my browser keeps giving me errors. I just posted on the Support forum for advice on how to resolve.

Your local auto parts store or hardware store probably carries 20+ different varieties. I'm sure I used the clear stuff just in case it oozed out the side.
I didn't use very much.

Yep, that's what I did as well on the plenum of the 82. Just picked up some 3M, I think, "trim adhesive" and it did the job.

I use RTV silicone because it holds great and you can take it off without damage if you ever need to.
