Default In need for a affordable car cover with logo.

Hi.
I'm looking for a nice car cover for inside garage usage.
I like the ones with the Porsche logo on the front of the cover.
I'm not sure if there are covers with the letters 928 on them (this would be the ultimate car cover for me).

Any hints/tips where I can find one on the web ?

Thanks,
Paul

I like the contour of my 928 S4 to be seen through the cover.
Does it fit exactly like on this 911 (strech material) ?
Does it have the Porsche crest like in the attached picture ?

Thanks,
Paul

It is the Porsche cover for the 928.
I am not sure it fits as tight as that one.
But it is definitly 928 shaped.

The Porsche factory cover is not that tight. The only cover I've seen that hugs the car tightly is the Griots' garage cover that Afshin has, it's red in color.

Why do you want it tight? Got a thing for Annette Funicello?

I recently bought one from AutoAnything.com
I think they can customize it and put 928 on it.

Edit: I just checked the invoice, it was $282

Griots cover is very nice but pricey. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another if I needed one, I'm very happy with the fit and protection it offers.

Note that you can buy it in other colors, I just thought it would be cool to have something different to look at during the long winter so when I uncover her in the spring it's like finding an old long lost lover...er friend....well you know what I mean.

I peeked at DR's website a few days ago, where he lists a Genuine cover for about 110. Listed as all weather, comes with P logo bag and cable. Has PCNA part number. I suspect the Other Guys can get them too.

The one I have now is a generic Wolf cover, and it's replacement time soon. Don't need the 'weatherproof' quality since it's an in-the-garage duty for the most part, but I do want it to block sunlight to save the paint and interior.

I had been using a factory cover on the GT (which has been abandoned outside for the last year) and it is not at all water resistant- the car was getting dirty after every rain this winter, and even from heavy condensation overnight. I bought a Covercraft Weathershield HD cover from AutoGeek ( found a coupon for 10% off + free shipping) for $382 and it's 100x better- water literally beads up and rolls off. The car is spotless after a month of sitting. The fit is excellent though it does need the cable and lock underneath to keep it from flapping/pulling up in high wind.

Keep in mind that I have seen a ferrari logo (not sure what it was made of) from the factory ferrari car cover "burn" itself in to the paint on the hood of the car it had been covering...the car was ONLY covered in the garage! This was the front hood too, so it was not an engine heat issue with putting the cover on to quickly after returning from a drive...

Hoping this would save the hood.

Hi everyone.
After a few hours surfing the web I think I like the covers from covercraft the best.
They have many models but the Form-fit models seem to be the excellent choice for indoor storage.
A special fabric is used to form the cover like the car contour.
I'm curious if anyone has used this cover.
Any pics ??????

Thanks,
Paul

Mine is covercraft. This is for my 90' S4.

In windy conditions, it needs to be clipped down in the rear, otherwise the cover lifts off at the rear. The mirror pockets keep it from falling off, but the rear blows off to one side and drags the ground. Maybe its because I keep the car polished too well.

When installing the cover, I simply use a heavy duty plastic pinch clamp at the rear license plate. That keeps the cover from lifting off at the rear.

I intent to use it only in my garage (no wind) so that shouldn't be a problem.
Covercraft has many different materials. Is yours a Form-fit version ?
Any pictures ? What about the antenna ?

Thanks.
