Anyone managed to get PET 7.1 or 7.2 working on 64-bit Win7? I get a hardlock error #7 - hardlock device not found (roughly - the error is in German)

Worked fine under XP - but all my windows PC's are now running 64-bit Win7 and I can only get 7.0 with the 226 data. Would like to have it show the updated/superseded parts like cam gears - but 7.0 won't update to 227 - I get an error.

 

When I click on DR's links to download PET 7.1, each link goes to a porno site (and not the Porche kind). Does this mean that the posting has been hacked?

You need to download windows virtual pc - this runs XP on a 64 bit win7 pc. Then install pet 7.1 or l;ater in that emulation. Runs very well, and no hardlock 7 error.

 

Updating PET 7.1 from version 270 to 273 (on XP), I get an error "The
ordinal 6 could not be located in the dynamic link library LxidDcod.dll"
and PET can no longer be started.

As I keep regular backups, I could easily replace the whole C/PET
directory with an older version and get it working again easily.

I would suggest anyone with PET 7.1 takes a copy of the whole C/PET
directory, and also doesn't upgrade above 270.

Hi, Im Mahshad and I am new here.

I installed PET 7 on win 7 x64 home and run it. I also updated the prices to 38. But now when I run the program it automatically shows a dialog box and ask "Update no. 227 (PO)" and yes-no buttons.
when I press Yes the PET disappears and then an Returncode 2 error happen "Error AA!"

So I can not update the data.
any help or comments appreciate.

Ok, I was able to get it to work from that download. It's version 7.0.

Previously PET 7.1 to PET 7.3 would not load up on any WIN7 Home/Home Premium edition. The WIN Pro/Ulitmate has an XP setting where it would work. These are all via CD in the past.

Now on this 7.0, there seems to be no update available for it, but it does work. Thanks again.
