Part of this is because of the jackasses that enter the freeway as if they are dodging shopping carts in the Safeway parking lot.

This pretty much sums up driving on I-5:

Whoa!! I haven't driven my 928 for two weeks or more. It has just been sitting while I drive the Saab all over the place and love it. Then I think I must drive the P car sometime soon, so I jump in it today to go to San Jose. At least some of that trip will be on the freeway so I reason that its ok (i use the Saab mostly in town). So I washed two weeks of dust and tree pollen off of it. Once in the 928 I realize what I had taken for granted too much and a grin comes across my face. In the Saab, I just stay right and follow the cluster **** train down the road sedately. The Porsche has a different character and I must restrain it lest I bust out laughing loudly. I come across a few bends in the road (the on ramp from 17 to 280 N for those in this area, and my foot twitches and my face cracks from the grin as my P car snatches up unbelieveable gobs of that turn and wants to go faster yet. What a crack up!!

Well its back to the Saab tomorrow but I'll sleep better tonight. The 928 is like being married to a nymphomaniac. Whew! What a rush! If only the other cars would get the ****out of my way when I'm in it.

Thanks for the motivation Ron...Mine is waiting in the garage...dust and all. I should wash her before taking her out but I think not...Tomorrow I'll crank her up and off to work we'll go...I'm looking forward to it!

Ron:

We'll have to get you some wider wheels, stiffer shocks and the Taliaferro rear sway bar and rack brace from genuinesaab.com. Then you'll be as confused as I am now with the turrrbo zzZAABi - I never thought these things could be that much fun!

Now I have car trouble every morning: The trouble of deciding which one I should drive...

I'm a happy camper! The CD player works perfectly. Nicole clued me in by suggesting I disconnect the battery and let it sit like that for awhile. It worked.
Nothing like having tunes of your choice for four or six hours.
