Hmm, that last comment of hers would have me worried. Did she mean that if she's going to have two 928's she better know how to drive them or was she referencing you? Just to be clear here because the difference can be significant! You may be driver her car while she's enjoying the fully upgraded 928. ![ooops](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/icon501.gif)
The right thing to do now would be to include her in on the two women you've been hiding, I bet she would love the Maroon one.

Hey Dan I missed the earlier post when you got Mark's car, congrats. I have a very special place in my heart for that car. It was the first 928 I drove. Take good care of her.
You best be showing up at SITM now.

Dan, not sure how I missed the earlier thread, but congratulations on getting Marc/Teri's '90 S4. That is absolutely drop dead gorgeous! (I think I have a little drool coming out the side of my mouth). I really like red and black colors on 928's, and THAT red is really beautiful, very classy.
Now you just need to replace those wheels that Marc held on to with a set of nice 5 spoke Porsche rims... 18" or 19" Carrera's perhaps?... or even a nice set of Cup II's...![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
I'm fortunate enough to have a fantastic wife as well, she just recently mentioned that if I get rid of/sell a few things in the garage, it would make the room I needed to get a track/race car!!! (She mentioned 914-6, but I think a 928 would be more fun).

Thanks everybody for the kind and fun comments.
Paul, she does not know much about the interior other than I didn't like the all black. I have not shown her any of the design ideas. I think I will leave that as a surprise.
Lora's comment about driving school and owning "two" 928's were fairly fun/serious. It was her way af letting me know everything was okay but that she was serious about the driving school and lettting me know she was going to own the two cars and that she might let me drive one every now and then.
My wife is sweet and all but she is a bit of a firecracker too. She drove a Works Cooper S all over San Francisco like it was her private kart track. She likes to drive with intent. It will be fun to see which one she desires most.
Funny side note, she asked me this afternoon "Does this mean we can get rid of the Civic Hybrid?" Which is funny since it was her idea to get that car when we were in Kauai because fuel was so expensive and the highest speed limit on the island was only 50mph.
Rick - Yes some very special Cup II's for both cars. You might know something about that

Dan (and Lora),
Kitty and I've been wondering how "LONG" you would be able to keep the turqouise car a secret from Lora. I'm delighted to hear the response - even though I know you'd really have liked to pull into the driveway with the car and it's new tags as the ultimate surprise. Just took a bit too long for all those custom items and a little bit of repair to be completed in order to accomplish that dream, I guess.
Anyway, congratulations on surviving and avoiding what could have been a drama. We certainly both have "keepers" to allow us to enjoy both our lives with our wives and our interest in the four wheeled type "mistresses".
Cheers,
Gary Knox

Gary and Kitty, she was surprised and happy that you knew about the car when you visited us in Hawaii and thought how well we all kept it quiet. She is looking forward to seeing you again soon.

Hi Dan. Your post reminded me of how happy Cheryl and I were in our early years when we were poor as church mice. We lived on grill cheese sandwiches and tuna for at least a year...and thought we lived like kings.
The right wife/friend makes all the difference. Everything else is just stuff and trimmings.
Glad you found the right one. That goes for the cars, too!

Dan,
The good thing about her being "good with sharp instruments" is that she is SO GOOD with them you probably wouldn't even feel any pain till the next day!![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Lets hope it does not come to that! LOL!
