Unlockable 7 and 8" H4/H5 Headlight Tech for All!
OSP- Why do you do this? If everyone did this there'd be a million tiny threads on a million subjects that no one could follow up on. What if someone has additional information that could directly benefit you, or anyone else? Please consider reopening your threads.
Hope this doesn't sound like I'm singling you out, you just seem to do it a lot. Were I the RL czar, no one would be able to lock threads except for mods- might force people to carefully consider what they post.

The flip side Rob is that so often, after the point of the original poster is reached and concluded, stuff keeps going in and the threads become endless with lots of irrelevant stuf thrown in. then when you do a search, there is too much to sift thru. This is why I like Pirtle's email keepers and Nichol's Tips - they are distilled down to the essentials. I think there is a balance there somewhere. I wish more would lock up earlier than they do, but maybe not as quickly as OSP.

Agreed, I'm certainly guilty of tossing non-tech into tech threads, but try for the most part to stay on topic (he says, in a non-tech thread that he started... ) There's a happy medium somewhere here.
When we have a Dwayne-level-of-detail procedure for diagnosing/R&R'ing/upgrading every single piece on every MY car, then we'll have enough information. Until then I don't think there's such a thing as TMI in posts, and varying signal-to-noise ratios are just part of the territory.

Rob if you take a few pieces of used T shirts and rip them into strips and then tie the strips around your wrists then gas wont run down your arm, and onto your body

Can somebody explain to me the different headlight possibilities? I didn't get to ask on that other thread.
I've got something that says H4 on an 86, but it looks like its only the size of the standard sealed beams on the other cars. One lense is broken and I'm not sure if I should replace it or try to find another type of light or just convert it to sealed beam.
Pictures would be cool.

See Stan, I KNEW you'd be right along! (For the record, I did take your advice when I drained my tank. Except I used the wife's hair scrunchie things. By now I'm used to the neighbors looking at me strangely.)

You have the 7" H4's on your 86. Feel free to call with specific questions on lighting possibilities.

I'm lost now, just when I thought I was getting these cars.
There's gas in the headlights? Rob wears his wifes hair thingies? Ed is on the flip side?
I'm going back out to the garage...........beer fridge is well stocked

but wait I think we need Alan to chime in on the best elex connector to use, and DrBob to tell us how to rout the wires, and Bill Ball to show us the correct wattages, and Dwanye to photomemorialize all of the events for posterity

Oh sorry i meant the SAI is used to clean the MAF this in turn keeps the ignition wires clean and the front driveshaft will need no further greasing.
The the rear rotorflex should be inspected, as if its submerged this can cause early delamination
