Porsche is certainly able to produce some GREAT looking show cars...unfortunately they never translate it into the real world as good as they could! Even the amazing CGT looked better as a show car than a street car! The Boxster was MUCH, MUCH better as a show car and even the Cayenne looked better as a show car. Thankfully for the latter two the aftermarket has stepped up and helped out...looks like that is going to happen for the PanAm too...

I really hate the wheels but that car just looks down right awesome. Who would have thought the bastard child as a result of a one-night stand between a Carrera GT and a Lotus Elise would be such a beautiful thing!

Ferrari front end and CGT rear; looks awesome. See that, as soon as one looks at it it's instantly gorgeous, not something you have to "grow to like".

Jalopnik says it has a 3.4L V8 in it. That is exactly the kind V8 I like, small displacement, with a huge rev-range (9,000+ RPM) from what they say. EFFING Heaven on Earth!

"the car can reportedly last up to 16 miles on electrons alone."

Is that a misprint? 16 miles is hardly worth engineering into the specification.

No misprint..."The E-Drive mode is for running the car under electric power alone, with a range of up to 25 km or 16 miles. In the ....." You need to have a short commute or long extension cord to stay green

If they will build it JUST LIKE THAT ONE LOOKS, it will be HUGE! Though knowing Porsche they will build it LESS beautifully and then try and sell it for $450k! They will of COURSE use the "innovations" on the EV side for the .... Cayenne!
