Being both in the high performance hose business and the Porsche business makes this one easy.

Mastercool makes the best flaring tool that I've ever seen or tried. Snap-on sells them for 2X what you can buy one directly.

It's hydraulic and worth every penny. It does stainless line like it is made from butter.

Great info... I was actually looking at the Mastercool hydraulic bender because I need to make bubble flares. I'm willing to spend the $$ to get the right tool. I have replaced many tools because I didn't get the right one the first time.

Re. stainless steel pipes. I was led to believe that stainless steel
pipes were a bad idea for the very reason mentioned, that they work harden.
The sort of vibration that you get on cars causes the stainless steel to harden
then ultimately fail. The same is true for plain copper pipes.
The virtue of Cunifer is that besides being corrosion resistant, it doesn't work harden.
Its main disadvantage is that it is harder than plain copper so is more difficult to bend
and to form flares in.
