Hey Greg,

I was actually really worried about the effects of this, esp with the older non borg-warner boxes.

Two fellows just south of me (ATB, and Tom M.) installed it with old boxes and they claimed that they could actually now use 2nd gear and it was far better!

I hope that they chip in their experiance and 2 cents.

For me a short shift kit is not to shift quicker. I only shift as fast as I can rev match. It is for the added precision.

Now you just need to reduce the throw of the clutch pedal to match.

Single disks have quite a bit of unnecessary travel (from release to the floor).

As Colin says, the Liz shifter helped considerably on the OB track car. Getting into second, even with rev matching would give a killer grind with the stock shifter. With the lizard, the gear change is so quick it may give a little clunk if you don't match it just right, but for the most part I can get a clean shift out of it. Don't leave for the track without it.

I just ordered one from Roger. If anyone from DFW is interested in viewing the install process live [albeit on my POS], PM me and I'll let you know and we plan to make a go of it.
