all the cables will work fine. check the surfaces they contact with and you are good to go, unless the strap or cable is broken, it is probably just fine. Ive been using all sorts of cable combinations for years with no issues. I even have to run a ground wire to the kill switch and then to the chassis, and that hasnt provided any issues and these are very long cables.
