Without our fine vendors and this forum, I either would not have a 928 or I would have blown it up by now.

this thread brought to mind my Fake organization... I've been kicking this idea around for awhile in my head and after working on my car today, stuck inside during the snowstorm, I finally threw together the logo. I think it pretty much embodies the spirit here.
Remember, got a problem, just ASCMA!
OK, now I'll go back to watching the rolex24.

As David said once you sign up to be a parts supplier you can supply any parts.
My new company 8>) will compete head on with Pelican just got to think of a new name for it and someone to run it. I am to busy selling 928 parts.
I also supply Corvette parts to 928 owners in Spain who have both cars - CorvettesRus
Just helped a 928 customer out with a few VW Corrado V6 parts.

you're right. I missed the beer part! though it clutters is up a bit though.
or I could change it to ASMA because we're usually out of breath after swearing at some stuck fastener or something.

Open a Panorama or Excellence. There are dozens of suppliers and an amazing wealth of speed parts.
The 911 racing and collecting worlds supply fat wads of cash that allow hobbyists to become businessmen. (And I'd envy the 944/951 guys, too, if I wasn't one.)
We've got a spare handful of dedicated suppliers serving a small group of buyers. We're tight. That's what makes it good.

The 928 is like that old two slot chome toaster that sat in the kitchen, when we were kids. The chrome was so thick it looked like liquid mercery. It toasted perfectly day after day...year after year. If it quit working...it was because it needed a new cord...or one of the heating elements finally burned out. No problem...parts were available and it could be easily fixed.
The 996 is like the new plastic toasters from China...they might make it a year or two...but after that...throw it in the trash...they're disposable!

nice analogy Greg.
I do remember that Chrome toaster, a GE it would always work till one of the kids stuck a knife in it,
to remove a muffin that got stuck.
This damaged one side of the toaster, after that we got a made in china 4 holer that lasted about a year or so and always made one side of the bread more toasted than the other.
And yes its amazing how throwing on a new set of shocks and tires/wheels wakes the 928 up and makes it a new car again
