Engine pull without removing clutch

What I keep looking for is how you can keep the MMs on the crossmember and just unbolt them from the motor. I hate having to pull the rack down every time I pull the motor.

that's what I was looking for. But i dont think its doable

pulling motor out of these cars sucks. I've done it 30 times and still don't feel good. I wish I lived near Merlin....

That is exactly where I always end up. Screw it! Drop the rack, pull the clutch!

why dont you just go up out the top? 3.5 hours and it will be on an engine stand.

I pulled my engine without removing the clutch. I also installed the engine with the clutch installed. Not a big deal -- I do remember the starter gear being a small pain as the engine came out but no huge issue
