If you paid in Brunei dollars, this is a little over USD 26k.

Did anybody mention full leather? I'm basing that on the stitched console.

If it checks out as good as it looks, it would be the 928 deal of the century !
Congrats.

Z,
Amazing car! You are doing the right things having it flat-bedded.

Good luck finding a good shop.

That engine bay is perfect. First time I've seen a GTS with the soft foam intakes intact.

Would suggest that you change all filters when you change the fluids. This includes the filter in the PSD System.

Post more pics when you get them.

The full leather option is actually fairly common on UK cars up until the GTS was introduced. My '89 is also an ex-UK car, and is also no sunroof with full leather.

However full leather does seem to be a rare option on GTS's - Its on my wishlist of options for a 5-speed 94/95 GTS. Been watching the accessible RHD markets for over a year to find the right car and its still not come up for sale.

With the air-conditioned climate, the leather has survived well, but I'd still get hold of some Leatherique and give the whole interior a treatment. All the interior panels will be leather, including the rear quarters, hatch trim, door panels, dash, centre console, a-pillars, headliner etc. Get a 1L bottle of Rejuvenator oil and a 0.5L bottle of Prestine clean - that'll give you enough for a first thorough treatment, and a follow-up clean when you need it next.

After cleaning the leather, apply the oil and leave the car somewhere warm (but in the shade, as you're in Brunei . If after a few hours all the oil has soaked into the dash and rear quarters, apply more oil and leave again for a while - those are the bits that usually shrink first and tend to be driest.

I'm about to start hunting for a local trim specialist to re-cover my dash, a-pillars and rear quarters as they're too shrunken to revive.

No sunroof is an excellent result too.

Hilton.

Hello- I just got the car but could not drive it yet as it has no road tax-Flat bed to workshop & hire another flatbed to the house.

I did bring the car for a oil, coolant change & Tyre change(The tyres came with it are from 1992)- Shell Ultra Helix. Everything in the car is very new.-Belting, Fuel line, Air filter. & no need to change.

I did notice a few things after oil service.

When I bring the car down from the flat bed- First thing I get is the :

1)Check Oil level- When moving the car from the flat bed to the garage- The car would jerk a bit(Reversing & Forward) & the car does a weired sound like "Vroom Vroom Vroom"= & the check oil level would come out.

In the garage when I start- It again- It's normal. No weird sound or jerk when reversing or forward the car etc.

I will bring it to the dealer( for second opinion) once I can drive the car on the road(Get road tax).

The Anti Lock sign & the "!" & "off" sign would be on the dashboard- I notice that even before servicing.

So what's your opinion guys? The mechanic said this car have to be diagnostic check at the dealer.

As promise here's some pic

1)Towing on Flat Bed-

2) Belting- Still wears the Porsche sign- Still fresh according to mechanic- No cracks etc.

3) I thought it was leaking but according to the mechanic- it's still wear the factory protective coat

4)- Anti Lock sign- always come on, & this sign.

Please advice

Default PSD

Your dash says "differential control" or PSD is not pressurizing. Get an Owner's Manual, might find it on ebay, US$25 and up. When you start the car within the first 10 feet of tire movement, you should hear the pump actuate, a faint vibration from (US driver's rear wheel well), it won't do this til the wheels move; might be right hand rear on yours. There is an access panel about abount 10 cm square in the rear of the wheel liner. Remove the tire, you can top it off if it is low. Maybe that's all it needs. Should be flushed and filter changed every couple years.

There is a thread at reutterwerk.com that discusses the flush, etc.

I don't think there is a problem driving it, you won't have the locking rear end option.

Have you had the TB checked yet?
