Most people can't own a 928. They just can't do it.
Many people will regret owning a 928.
A few people will appreciate all of the things that come with ownership:
1. The challenge of your time, money, sanity and resiliency.
2. The many friendships and cult that you will be a member of.
3. The harmony of a great machine with a soul at illegal speeds.
4. The joy of wrenching and bonding with the beast. The knowledge of all its inner workings.
5. Finally being at peace with the 928 and all the things that it is.

I have achieved number 1 and 2. Hope the last three are as fun.

Indeed, there's a wealth of information available. The cars are anything but complicated when compared to a 4-wheeler 911 twin turbo, or a supercharged AMG. A late model BMW 5 series is real puzzle compared to a shark. For the time being, most used parts are plentiful. The kicker is that if you don't wrench, you should think of buying something else.
