Default Set of 8 951 rods for sale

I just came into this nice matched set of 8 951 rods.

Some have said that the 944 Turbo (951) rod is the hot setup for 928 engines who want to continue to use the stock crank and wrist pins.

I dont need them, can someone tell me what they are worth? I could split them into 2 sets of 944 rods on the 944 forum - but thought I'd give you guys first whack at them.

iirc they are slightly shorter which will reduce the CR.

However I am interested in knowing what bearings are in them.

If I am not mistaken those are post 88 rods - which are different then the previous rods. They are also different lengths as was mentioned, but also different big end widths. Maybe take one and measure it Carl against a 928 rod.

forgive me for bumping a very old thread, but i have been doing a lot of searching for rod info and came across this.

for posterity's sake...the rods pictured above are NOT 944 turbo rods - those are out of an early 968 (aka early 928 GTS)...the ones that Porsche said to replace rather than re-use.

If Carl or anybody else has these rods they are suitable for a high-output 944 NA engine (or maybe a warmed-over 928 other than GTS), but not good for boost. They are lighter than stock rods but can't take high loads.
