That's a good sign and indicates the fuel passages are starting to clear up. Have you added new fuel and a lot of Techron?

Last night, I put in 2 gallons of fuel with a heavy dose of Sea Foam (I had drained the tank). Then I bridged the relay to run the fuel pump for 2 hours. I did not try to start it because the PO pulled the entire exhaust system after the manifolds. I don't think the neighbors would appreciate it if I started it at 10PM. I will give it a go after work. I am thinking about hooking up a battery charger and just running the pump for a day.

Running the pump only will clear the lines from and to the tank and the relief valve but will not clean the upper part of the fuel distributor, wur or injectors. On my 931 (sat for 4 years), I was able to clean a lot of this by removing the injector line connectors at the fuel distributor and spraying throttlebody cleaner into each port. I also sprayed cleaner into each injector then used 60 psi of compressed air to force the cleaner through them. This allowed me to get the car running, but it required weekly adjustments to the A/F mixture for nearly a month.

most of the cars I have rescued have been sitting for years all but one have had siezed fuel pumps, 3 others have had the plunger in the fuel distibutor stuck. the first time I replaced it but after that I had very god luck boiling the whole distributor in a pot of water for about an hour, it stinks like hell but it works just make sure you don't use you moms best pot it will be junk after. if you want to see just look up "rednecks in the kitchen" on youtube.

I take it your restore is almost done if you are at the point of firing it up, Congrats!
When you had the engine out, who did the engine work? Did they do anything to the CIS?
