good to see your project. I am about to do the same to a seat I took out of my 911 when I installed the EVO2s. my plan appear to be the same as the way you did it.
now inspired to get to work on it! hmm.... off to buddy's garage tomorrow to put 928 up on lift for winter projects. also put 911 up on jack stands in my garage to replace shocks.

Cool man. Nice to know know you're about to do the same. Making the chair is quite fun. And takes about 2 hours if you're a noob like me. Finding an old piece of wood, cutting it up, drilling some holes, finding rusty screws between hundreds of them and driling some more holes because your measurements were a bit off.
Painting it and cleaning up the seat after wards takes a bit longer, but it is for your new frankenstein creation which makes it worth it
