Default Some good stuff picked up at harbor freight

I moved. So I needed to get the mass of "stuff" from my garage to the new one. I had two engines on engine stands, parts everywhere on shelves and also piled up in their original boxes.

What I decided is that I would want to properly organize the parts and THEN move them. They had to be mobile, and I wanted the engines to be easily movable WITH the parts.

So harbor freight had a sale, so I got these:

They work great, and can hold probably more than thier 500 pound rating if you put most of the weight in the bottom.

I was able to wheel them onto the lift gate for the moving truck and they move around the garage very well.

Just an FYI

AFAIK those are identical to the Rubbermaid janitorial carts, very strong, immune most "stuff", oil and dirt no issue for sure. My HF guy cut me a deal of $90 for one and its been loaded up since the day I put it together.

I've got a slight touch of bowing on the top shelf, but not enough for any concern.

I'm looking at some way to put one or two "tracks" on the bottom of the top shelf so I can use one of my plastic Home Depot concrete mixing trays as a pull out drawer. Thinking maybe U channel steel, one side of the U fastens to the bottom of the top shelf, and the lip of the trays slides in the other side the U.

HF has the nice US General 5 drawer service cart on sale for $179, price is in store special, not a coupon, so apply the easy to find online 20% off coupon and its $143.

Have you met Brendan? Lifting 500lbs dead weight like that is child's play.

I have a handy folding engine hoist for that. The 32V is back onto an engine stand for the final detail work as of last night. That lump is just huge.

I have moved my fair share of short blocks on my own. Sometimes not even with a dolly.
