Default CIS Hard Line Needed

I'm in need of a hard fuel line for a CIS car. It goes from the front of the fuel distributor to the passenger side fender area. Here are a few pictures. Please note that yours will not have the short piece of rubber hose pictured. That is why I need a new one. BTW, 928 Intl. doesn't have one.

Really? 928I doesn't have one? Maybe too rarely asked for to keep around.

That setup you've got has got to go.

I just spoke w/ Tom and he said they don't have one.

As for it having to go, yes I know. Thats why I'm looking for one. I guess I could bend one as a last resort but I've never bent tubing that large before. I have a feeling my bender may not be up to the task.

If I can find the stock part I will use it. If not, I will then explore other options.

Seems it should be easy to find. You might try Roger and Mason. I had a complete spare CIS system, but I gave it away. I sold a motor to bdangler that had this on it, I think he swapped it for something, but I am pretty sure it is sitting somewhere, unused.

Karl,

Are you sure that was still on the motor, I don't really recall it, but if it was I still should have it someplace and will look for it. I think I kept the heads and cam towers and gave the bottom end to Leo Dano. I rarely toss any hard lines, so could be here.

Part number 928 110 501 00 and $67.74.
Takes a couple of days to get to me. Bearing in mind its Christmas this may be more like 7 days.

Let me know if you get stuck, I removed all of my fuel lines when I converted to LPG so I reckon I still have them all hanging in the W/shop. I will happily package it up and send it when I return home next week, if you need.

Cheers Roy

WYAIT I would look at doing the hoses down there, or at least getting a good look at their condition. They are a nightmare to get at normally. They look different from my 83 CIS - I think my hard line stops at the cam cover, and the hose has several inches of steel pipe coming up to meet the other pipe.

Hey Mike
I am pretty sure the only thing I took off that motor was the ignition wires, so yes that line should be there. There are two different CIS setups with respect to that hard line and I don't remember which it had.

Do you mean the rubber lines that go to this hard line? Does this have crimped ends?

If you have the ends why can't you get a local shop to make one up, is it the cost or fitment ?
