Angry Anybody want a PARTS CAR

The one I just got from EBAY is nothing but a parts car. Anybody want it for what I have in it? $2,076.00. Plus I spent $300.00 in gas to go get it!!!
Seats where RECOVERED in Vinyl, all the interior in the rear package is GONE or going away, nicely covered up when I got the information. I am stopping NOW before I blow a gasket!!!!!!
Oh car is a 1984 with a RUST FREE body, dented but rust free. I will take some HONEST pictures and post them. The guy who sold is dying of cancer and played the sympathy card on my wife and I and as an idiot we bought it hook line and sinker.

Oh no... So SORRY TO HEAR THIS! It sure can take awhile to find a good 928 or even an OK one that has problems that you are willing to spend some time sorting.

Best of luck!

So you want someone else to bail you out for your mistake? At your total cost of course so you dont loose any money, especially the $300 extra in gas.

We're livin' in the good ol' US of A. I think "bailout" is fitting parlance.

Too bad cash for clunkers isn't still around. This would be a perfect candidate.

Any recourse through Ebay, man?

except that the car would have to have been owned and registered for 1 year in this guys name. It would also have to have been insured for 6 months prior to turning the car in. The car must also run.

I assume those points are what the dealers missed when they took in all those cars. Perhaps thats why their checks arent yet in the mail?

I think that has more to do with the national debt. I had a feeling those folks weren't going to get paid. Go USA!

I wouldn't expect much from a 2076 dollar 928 Porsche, even if its a US OB Automatic. If the body is in good condition with no rust or previous accident and the engine runs, thats not a parts car. Plus maybe I'm wrong but i thought you said you were going to do some work on it.
and about the head gasket, if I ever get a chance on any 928 I buy, specially one thats more than 20 years old, I would change the head gaskets. specially if it was seating for a few years. there are running S4s with bad head gasket, I wouldn't expect them to be any better on the older cars.

Decide if you want to dabble in the bottom echelon, hunched over wiring digrams, fingernails caked with grease.

If so, keep the spirit, just change your methodology a bit.

LOL, I also started with an 84 that I paid $2200 for it. 1500-2500 later it finally ran and after 2 year I realized it still needed an interior/exterior... I ended up giving her it away to a family member.

Btw, whats up with the title "Anybody want a PARTS CAR"? Since you are selling the car it should be more "Anybody wants to buy a PARTS CAR?"

I'd bet your car that he doesn't really have cancer ... I've seen con men like this in action before. If you could verify that, you might have a decent small claims fraud case. However, not likely worth pursuing if it's not local.
