Default Sorry guys

Sorry for the vent guys but I am ticked at myself for being so stupid as to buy an EBAY car and fall for the sob story.
The body has been whacked in the RF which took out the SPOILER, sorry, and the dent as seen in the RF fender.
Could not get the hood open since the unit was TAKEN OUT that releases the hood.
Rims are good, no clue about the trans since it only runs you you squirt either into it.
The small claims and all that is just a to heck with it. I have found another and will probably take 2 or 3 or ? and build one good one.
I have no idea why I want to spend the time and money on a 928 when I have other cars to finish. Sickness I guess, got it from my dad he had 26 cars when he died.

What realy burns my butt is the rain on Friday was so darn heavy that we just hooked to the car, winched it into the hauler. My wife handed him the cash and we where on the way back. The DMV is supposed to FED-EX the title to me Tuesday. It was in their hands when I refused a jump title.
If my dad was still alive he would have kicked my butt then laughed like hell at me.

I remember looking at that one in the ebay listings.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=120496973201
VIN: WP0JB0926ES862945

It didn't look wonderful on ebay, but nothing close to a parts car. How about some picts of whats so bad?

Was going to take some today, need to get over to the shop. The big thing is all the missing parts, burned wiring and telling me it was LEATHER and the car is all VINYL, can not see that in a picture.

It's amazing how great a junk 928 can look in online photos... I know, I've bought many.

Yup, wash them and photograph while still wet from 15 feet, and little is revealed.

This one had a few red flags if you looked, but about the only way to learn what not to buy is to buy one.

Well here are the pictures
Roof Damage which should have been disclosed,
The Wiring that is melted,
Control area for the sunroof.
Notice the picture of the front seat with proper lighting you can see it is vinyl but when asked he said it was leather.
RF fender was a gimmy from his picture, the damage to the spoiler and the twisted and sprung hood was not disclosed.

I had no problem finishing the car but ALL the hardware is missing so you are starting with a body and going from there.
No problem found another one tha is in drive home shape but needs the interior done so I will take 2 and make one then part the gold one out.
The money does not bother me it was the out and out lies about the car when the man was spoken to. There are more than $2,000.00 in good parts but still.
I do not mind taking the hit and saying I was wrong if someone else reads this and learns from it.
Since I have been in this silly car game since 1963 you just take your lumps and move on.

That roof damage is totally fubar, and not in the ebay pictures.

I would carefully phrase my negative feedback. This guy sells a LOT of cars, so he should know better.

Has the car been repainted? I was assuming so from the driver side rear marker being painted over.

Sorry you are getting such an expensive lesson.

The guy is DYING of cancer so I did not blast him, should have but just stated that it was a FAIR PRICE for a FAIR CAR.
Yes it was painted, story 1 was a pro painted it for him, story 2 WHICH is TRUE it was painted by MACCO.
Well off to buy another one in Florida a 1981 with documented history but needs interior work. See how this one works out.
Now this car is the fun one but the cops hate it on the street
I know!!
