Can you tell from the vin that it is a Euro or Euro S ?? I know it is an euro fro sure because of the German dash, rear fog light, etc. The owner told me there was a 928S badge and they took to paint the car and never put them back. I thought 1980 euro doesn't have S model ??

Thank you.

Leon, there were 4.5L Euro models and 4.7L S Euro models. The code on the engine will tell the REAL story to HP...

You might think about looking a the 928 DVD thread...lots of great info in that DVD that might help you some... shameless plug I know... LOL!

Other than that, exterior has fresh paint job (3-4 years), engine runs great, cranks right up and get down the road fast even with auto (I know) Can't wait to get it and start to turn it into a beauty, then into a shark Glad to be part of the Porsche & Rennlist member/family. Glad to be able to drive one of my childhood dream car at last.

Best regards,

Thanks for all the info. I will look at the engine code when I got it tomorrow. I just ordered a pair of front seats to replace them. At least it is more presentable Pictures coming soon.

Thanks Nicole. I know I will enjoy it very much. Very please to be here since everyone knows exactly how I feel to own a Porsche for the first time. I am a car guy and always very exciting to be able to add new car into my list. I have not been back to Silicon Valley/ Sunnyvale for quite a while, need to make a trip.

Thank you again for the welcome.

A fellow member at the local Porsche club has a pair of Corbeau for sale. It is from a 1995 911 I think, and should bolt right on. I will keep the stock one to reupholster later or maybe find another stock pair. The current seat is so torn out that it makes the car looks dated and worn. Once I get the dash and door panel re-covered, it should good to go.

Thanks.

I was browse around and saw your post when you just purchased the 928 from a local importer. The batch of 928 from Japan looks really good. Your car looks neat and clean. Thanks for the welcome.
