Dean, I have a 32 year old son whose middle name is Dean. I still cannot imagine the loss you are feeling even though I have wondered about it often in regard to my own son. I am so very sorry for your loss and wish I could do something that would help ease the pain for you and your's. My thoughts are with you and I hope the pain will ease as time goes on. Call if you have any need to talk to someone that anyone else cannot fulfill. I will try to be a good listener.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you & your family. My wife & I were just talking today about how devastating the loss of a child would be. Ours are 20 & 24 & I cannot fathom the pain & numbness you must feel. Just 10 days ago they had a funeral for a 24 yr old Army chopper pilot who went down in Iraq just a couple weeks ago. My son played hs football with him. To see those parents & know my son was the same age & knew him just made it all too real. Just know that there are many who are thinking about you in this extended family & who care about you & what you are going through.

Can you share with us the cause of death?
Such a sudden departure at such a young age is certainly unusual, and therefore surely all the more devastating for you and those that loved him.

My condolences as well.
I can not imagine the pain. Even as bad as things get out there for all of us with problems, there is nothing more painful than to lose a love one, especially one's child.
My heart goes out to you.

Dude....I am so sorry to hear this. I know you loved your son so much, you were a great father to him and helped him enjoy a quality of life that not many of us could have. I know how much you sought out the best care for him and made many sacrifices in order to do so. You are a good man AND your son knew it.
God Bless You

One of my biggest fears is to lose one of my three boys before its my time. In 07 as I had my heart attack, in the ambulance my only worry is for me to go now before my 11 and 15 year old become men. The shock and picture of you holding your sons hand is painted in my heart as a dad. I try to say I love you as often as I can but you have reminded me to say it tonight. My thoughts are with you and your family.

I'm very sorry to hear this. We lost my brother in October and while it has gotten easier it will take a while before we really accept it and move on.
It was amazing for me to see the support of so many friends and family in these difficult times. It is not my usual nature to let people provide help and support but I am learning that letting others help lifts up and benefits all concerned. I am sure you have a lot of people who want to help you out as best they can and hope you can benefit from all that goodwill in the spirit in which it is offered.
Let us know what we can do. My sincere condolences.
