Also, double check what the actual spec is on this model. I know there are some variations in 722.XXX trans and I only know the spec for the model of MB I did this on. Does anyone know the specific measurement for the 928 auto B2 band spec? Will the above suffice?

Thanks for the e-mail.

Where'd you find the MB spec? Mine is 722.3XX btw. I thought I had all the factory manuals for my car, no real trans info though.

I asked a guy who rebuilds them for a living Sun Valley Auto Dismantlers (in LA County). I wonder if Steve C. know the actual spec for this specific trans.

His other companion documents are found by following links I posted early in this thread, BTW.

Do you guys have me on ignore for some reason?

I'm coming up on exam weeks. My reading comprehension for all things non-legal is reduced right now. You're right though, you had it there all along.

If anybody is curious, the piston was in several pieces but the band checked out. Car drives, but I don't have it back yet because while the shop has it I figure I might as well have them figure out my hot and cold start issues.

Abacus Racing in VA Beach did the work. They also dyno tuned the car a few months back. I'm thinking they're probably going to be the shop I use for the things I can't do myself from now on.
