Default Anyone running 8.5x19 front wheel with a ~ET54 offset? Or, 8.5" wide w/ 54mm offset?

Looking at some new wheels for the GTS and the fronts are 8.5x19 with a 54mm offset. According to my calculations it will sit 4mm more outward than my current 8x18 52mm offset. I think the new setup will be fine I'm just wondering if anyone has experience with anything close to this? Thanks in advance for any experiences using this configuration or something close.

Rear setup is 11x19 62mm offset. I'm going to replace the stock 35mm spacer on the GTS with a 30mm H&R spacer which will leave the wheel 1mm more inboard than my current setup (10x18 54mm offset).

Also, what about tire sizes? I'm looking at a 235/35 19 front and either 295/30 19 or 305/3019? Thoughts?

Chuck, I have a 18x8.5 52mm front offset, With 54mm it would be 2mm further in, which would be marginally better. I have 225 front tires, and will stick with them because they run flush with the front fender. If you click my avatar, I've got some pics in my albums.

Chuck- you shouldn't still be doing 911 take-offs... Get some 928 specific wheels, no?????????

Thanks Matt. Very helpful. Are your fenders rolled up front?

Nope! Not 911 take offs either. Can't find anything I like especially in 19" variety and I don't want a multi piece wheel.

No and I have no issue with rubbing even at full lock. But I am at about the limit for a front offset in which I would be comfortable with. Though, I have no tracking issues or driveability issues on the street either.

The offsets you're looking at would be Ok on a GTS becasue of the wider rear track. Making the front offsets less "noticeable" if the rear wheels are pushed out to the rear fender using spacers.

If it were me I'd mount the rear wheels without the spacers, if possible to determine which spacer you will need to optimize the look. Mount the wheels and measure what size spacer you will require with your chosen tire size. You maybe able to retain the 35mm spacer you already have. 5mm difference is pretty minimal on the rear.

That's what I'm thinking on the offsets too b/c of the wider rear end and the fact that the GTS has rolled fenders.

I'm pretty sure the rears will stick out too far with the stock 35mm spacer as the set I'm running now is really tight right now with any suspension compression. I definitely do not have the additional 5mm the wheels I'm getting will stick out compared to what I have now so a 30mm spacer will put the rears right where they are now.

Get CCW to make some one-off design in a forged 1 piece.

^^^ probably couldn't afford a one-off design. I already have a set picked out - Christmas present from my wife.
