Whatever you do, DO NOT PART THAT CAR OUT! It's way to nice, and a great color combination. The first thing to do is the figure out what exactly is the problem. Guessing is just a waste of time and $$$. Also looking at your "Current Fleet" sell one of the other cars and use the money to fix the 87.

Simple way to keep everybody happy would be to make a good faith estimate of what the car will net if you part it out, subtract some amount for the time and effort to part it, and see if somebody wants to buy it for about that much.

OTOH I wouldn't think of parting or selling it, just park it until time and events allow fixing whatever is wrong.

I'm speechless.... pulled the intake manifold and guess what was right there keep the intake valve open?? Guess the Porsche gods decided this car needs to live on. I pulled the metal piece that was blocking the intake valve, buttoned everything back up and got a 196psi on the compression gauage out of that cylinder. To say the least im back in business. Just have to work out the throttle linkage. Its idling pretty high I think the cable is just hung up somewhere. Anyways im off to bed! I honestly feel like the luckiest guy in the world!

Yea thats it, guess thats normal than. The piece I pulled out never matched that cutout anyways. I have no clue where these piece came from. I think it got beat up pretty good for the short time of running it.

Congrats on the easy fix, I'm really happy for you. The whole story sounded simply unfair.

That is awesome. Nothing feels better like easy fix for something that otherwise looked to be like a catastrophic failure.
