VIN isn't ringing any google bells, so I don't think I've seen it before. Carfax is 7 hits with zero mileage info, autocheck says VIN: WP0JB0929HS860997 We found 14 records, but I don't have an open acct to run checks right now, so no idea if it includes mileage.

Looks like a nice car, but going through a dealer could mean zero records. End of bidding was below $18k did not meet reserve, BIN $21,900. Dealer has 13 auctions showing in the completed list, zero met reserve, looks like free advertising without intent to sell on ebay.

29,300 miles, driver car, just pricey and not my choice of color or year, glad it won't be me kissing my wife's foot and begging.

Joey, if its really what you want, find a way to buy it, you won't see another maybe in years. Its at a dealer, the terms might be screwed, but they are in the business of putting people in cars they can't afford.

I've seen the car and I know the company. They primarily do consignment sales, so I would imagine that if the owner of the car has records they could be obtained. Just my opinion, but they are a good outfit.. As for the car, it was in beautiful shape. A great example if you like the color/options, etc.

Nice its got the "Crocket and Tubs" gold honeycomb BBS wheels! DanglerB is right, a sunroof delete 5 speed like this doesn't come around very often.

I think this car was discussed here a few months back. Was on CL by a private party. Now on e-bay from a dealer..

I thought that was your preferred escape route!!!

It seems like Carl posted about this car a few months ago. It was priced lower then, maybe $16k. I guess a flipper bought it and is lookin' a quick $6k profit.

No sunroof, 5-spd, and no rub strips. Joey, just buy it and be happy.

Odd that it may not have LSD.

Hopefully Dwayne got it

As far as I can tell, factory no-sunroof manual S4's are rarer than clubsports (if you don't count clubsports and SE's)!

And ones with miles that low are.. well... can't be more than 2 or 3 of them out there.

LSD was an option on S4's until the introduction of PSD in '90, and I'd hazard there are more open-diff S4's than LSD.

My '89 manual S4 is open-diff from factory (all original trans/engine confirmed by Porsche). My '87 is LSD - drives very differently.

I was just thinking it was 'odd' that this particular car, ordered with sunroof & side molding delete and with a 5 spd manual , doesn't appear to have LSD on the option sticker pictured on the listing (code is 220, IIRC). Doesn't definitively mean it doesn't have it, as the trunk stickers are not 100% tale-tale of a car's options. I know most S4's didn't have it.

On a side note, shame on Porsche for even producing a performance car with an open diff.

For the BIN on that S4, you'd be a fool not to get this GT instead (miles aside, this is a much more rare 928):

Atm, I can't afford a Porsche ,but some day I'll have a collection of 928s, 911 Turbos from several years with a 959 CGT 550 Spyder a couple 356s and a 944 Turbo S. For right now though I can dream

You can always add LSD, but it is toooo much work to delete the sunroof... I like my sunroof these days, I will open it before opening the windows for some air. My A/C is R12 and is colder than $%%T of course.

A tall guy NEEDS to buy this car; a non-roof '87+ is extremely rare in NA.

Just ran across this post and called the dealer to ask about the car history/records. He said it just sold - for $20K (although the auction has not finished). Hopefully, someone here got it.
