Default Bought an 88 S4

A while ago I told you guys I was going to bring my GT over from the States to live with me here in Europe. Have since decided to leave it in storage in the US and today I bought a '88 S4 that I found in Holland. It's got 245 kilometers (yikes!) but has strong maintenance documentation (timing belt is done, new clutch, new shocks and lots of other little stuff) and you can tell someone loved it. I'm not going to take delivery for another month or so, but wanted to share the good news with you all!

It's got beautiful original wheels on it, which will quickly go into the garage for storage and be replaced by some version of an 18" wheel, hopefully the staggered replicas with 225's / 285's. Gonna keep the 16" original ones for when I re-sell it, they're really in nice shape and not painted.

So I'm off to search the internet for new wheels, new floor mats and whatever else I can think of - this is the fun part!

Great! Nice find!

If you need some pointers to (internet) vendors in Germany let me know. Apart from the vendors on this forum I buy mostly in Germany, more supply there.

On the German PFF forum there's a for sale section - there's where I bought 18" carrera III wheels recently http://www.pff.de/markt/index.php?ca...et_add_ad_cat=

I have a link for floor mats too but don't want to spoil your search fun

Great site, thanks!

These are the wheels I was thinking about. But winter's coming so I'll probably take some time deciding.

If you have a good site for floor mats I'd love to see it, thanks again!

I bought floor mats here for a good price and I am pretty happy with them. Not original, but pretty good quality: http://www.matten-online.nl/

Btw winter is the time to buy wheels because when summer comes everybody wants to drive "VB" instead of a price or next to a price means "Verhandlungsbasis" which means (other) offers are accepted. If you buy them for 1000 I'll take of your hands for 400 when you sell them again

Thanks for the mat site and the tip on the VB thing, I don't speak any German. I'll let you know where I land on the wheels.

Up until yesterday I would have said the '89, but I'm starting to see what you mean...!
