Thank you for all the kind thoughts.
Paul I might have seen you in Whataburger on SPID last Saturday? I was there with my folks, Jeff's 11YO son and his mother having some family time. It was nice. If that was you I did not say Hi because we are letting my nephew deal with all this in his own time.
I hope to be back down there in a few weeks to deal with some of my brother's cars. I know he wanted me to have his 928 but that will depend on how the estate gets settled. No one can buy the cars until the estate starts to get settled and that may be a while anyway.
I will say that the environment down there is very harsh and I believe the 928 has high miles and is a (perhaps mediocre) repaint so not a cream puff or show car or anything like that. He loved it though, and it was amazingly fast.

give me shout next time you are down here. Anything I can do, you just have to say the word.
I know where your brother had all of his work done, and if you don't know Peter, I will take you there. He also, was a great friend of Jeff and knows everything there is to know about all if his cars.

Sincerest condolences from my family to yours Joel. Unfortunately I recently lost a very good friend to a similar injury. Pulls hard on the heart to say the least.

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss.
I'm going tomorrow to a visitation for a good friend mine who died last week under tragic circumstances. Tomorrow would have been his 40th birthday. It will be the first funeral of someone I was really good friends, so I can't imagine what it would be like to lose a brother. You and your families are in my prayers.

Very tragic for Jeff, you and his young family.
I'm glad to hear you are planning to carry the 928 torch for him. I have a soft spot for supercharged 928s. If I can help in any way, please contact me.

Paul: Yes I have been to Peter's shop. Thank you for the offer of help, I will take you up on that I'm sure. If nothing else just someone to meet for a taquito or to go OTB to Jalisco or something sometime.
At some point I may be down to get the cars running and stored properly or to help value, advertise and sell them if the time is right. If I can fit the 928 into my life I will. It may be too rough for me though and the cost of a restoration too excessive. I might use it for a 5-speed and SC donor for my car then, or pass it on to another enthusiast. Too soon to tell.
Donald, thank you for posting those pics, they are great and in perfect context. I'll dig up some more. Jeff drove his 928 up to Vail and Durango and I have pics from there, he also drove it to Northern Wisconsin and I shared part of that drive. I recall another motorist at one point made a rude gesture at us, just for driving a Porsche with big grins on our faces, but that made us grin even more. Then we let them hear the exotic howl of the RMB and X pipe since we did not want to linger in the company of such an ill-mannered person.
Thanks again,
-Joel.
