Sad news from South TX
My brother Jeff, a long time 928 owner and very occasional RL poster, passed away very recently due to bleeding on the brain from an accidental head injury. He was a resident of Corpus Christi.
He was supposed to compete this weekend in the Texas Mile and had prepared his car, a supercharged 1987 928S4 5-speed, for some seriously fast runs in the days before his death. Cars and the 928 in particular were his passion and I hope to continue that passion in his memory.
In the past he ran the Texas Mile in a 2.8L 944 Turbo and perhaps in his 928 as well. I do not recall if he had run the supercharged 928 yet or not, I wish that he had. I think it would have been his fastest run in his lifetime.
My folks and I are here in Corpus right now and dealing with Jeff's organ donations. I am probably going to be passing through San Antonio Sunday night if anyone wants to get together. My current plan is to take a bus from Corpus to San Antonio on Sunday afternoon and then fly out of San Antonio early Monday morning.

Joel, so sorry to hear this. I don't know that I ever had the pleasure of meeting your brother. I ran down at Cabiness a few times, but I was the only 928 there and no one came up to me to talk 928's, so I must have missed him somehow.
