Default An interesting feature

I recently got a pro durametric tool and was testing a couple of 964s.
I found that it has a feature that you should enable when bleeding the brakes. It appears as if it actuates the ABS system a little to aid in getting the air out.

I havent had a chance to plug it in to a 89+ 928 yet. But I am planning to soon and will let you know.

But maybe this is what Nicole's car needs.

I think you may find that if it's displaying "bleed" or "bleeding" (as the 9288 tool displays) - it may be referring to the 964 C4 PDAS traction control slave cylinders rather than the brake/ABS system. The 964s (C2 or C4) clutch and/or brakes can be bled in traditional methods without the assistance of an electronic override....

Agreed with John D. Because I see the same thing for the PSD service procedure.

I know that the 993 however it's recommended to open the ABS with the computer when your bleeding. I bled a 993 before knowing that and it turned out fine though.

My pleasure! I'd really like to see someday what that tool is capable of, as the 9288 (HAMMER) is good - but, I *think* your tool actually has more options?? Again - the PDAS is only on the 964 C4 - and when those need to be bled - either tool to open the slaves (2 of them) would be a huge help..!

Best to you!

John
